Dr. Tamara Albertini is a Swiss-American Associate Professor of
Philosophy at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, specializing in
Renaissance and Islamic thought. She has a Lic.phil. from the
University of Basel (Switzerland) and a Dr.phil. from the
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitae in Munich (Germany). She is
the co-founder and president of the "International Charles
de Bovelles Society" and on the scientific board of the
"Associazione Internazionale di Ricerca Elemire Zolla."
Dr. Albertini also lectures at the East-West Center and the
Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies.

Dr. Albertini has made many media appearances after September 11th.
She was interviewed on Beth-Ann Kozlovich's Hawai'i Public
Radio Show
(2009, 2002); Swiss National TV on "Islam in Hawai'i" (2006);
Swiss-Italian Radio and TV on "The Destruction of the City of Bam
(Iran)" (2003); and called upon by Paul Udell for KITV4's News
This Morning
on "The War in Iraq" (2003).

Dr. Albertini has been the President of the Swiss Society of Hawai'i
since 2009. She is also a member of the Bulgarian-Swiss Friendship
Association "Louis Ayer."
