Mr. Lewis is VP-Administration and Corporate Secretary with Hawaiian Electric Industries. He has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor's degree from Williams College. He was with the Attorney General's Office of the State of Hawaii before joining the Hawaiian Electric Company. Mr. Lewis is a member of the American Bar Association and the Hawaii Bar Association. Active in community service, he served as the president of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Human Services, Oahu's largest shelter for the homeless. He was also the president of the Neighborhood Justice Center and was a delegate to Hawaii's Constitutional Convention in 1968 as well as in 1978.
