Theres Ryf Desai is a registered architect in Switzerland. She graduated with a MA in architecture from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Currently she is a partner of Tiaco, Inc., an architectural consulting and investment firm, owned by her husband, Pravin Desai. Prior to that she practiced many years with Honolulu architectural and engineering firms such as: Wilson Okamoto & Associates, CDS International and Jeffery Patterson
& Associates.

Ms. Desai is also a mother of two teenagers, black belt in Taekwondo,
fiber artist, golfer and active community volunteer.
